Hi, I'm Nichol, Founder of Explorational Fitness
Welcome friends, and fitness adventurers,
I'm excited to have you join me as we explore all things fitness and life related.
I have always been a dreamer, achiever, and explorer. My early life aspiration was to become a Marine Biologist and travel the world’s oceans. Fueling my passions, I transformed this dream into a reality by studying Marine Biology in college and learning to scuba dive.
My studies took me on far away adventures like exploring the coral reefs of Grand Cayman, studying Marine Ecology in Belize, researching Olive Ridley Sea Turtles in Costa Rica, and sailing the islands of Fiji. I am no stranger when it comes to adventure.
"Fitness is an exploration of self-discovery, a journey through your body, mind and life into your greatness. It leads to a confident, renewed, sense of self."
Through strength training, movement, mindset, and nutrition, I am able to transform my body, mind and create a life of exploration, freedom, and happiness. In my 40's I'm restoring women’s beliefs around the fact that they CAN master their body, mind, life at any age.
This journey led me to become a Body and Mind Mastery Coach and launch Explorational Fitness.
At Explorational Fitness, I educate and empower badass women to master their bodies, minds, and life, and evolve into their healthiest, strongest, most resilient version of themselves. This is done through knowledge, habit formation, and practicing self-mastery in a way that becomes effortless.
"I do for women what my son did for me, master strength and progress over perfection."
Before my Fitness Journey, I valued my worth by my achievements and defined myself by my roles: Mom, Director, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Friend and my ability to please everyone around me but myself.
When the marriage ended, my son left home and the job was gone, I was left questioning: What happened to the badass Dreamer who wanted to explore the World’s Oceans?
I lost that woman along the way, the adventurer, the dreamer, and my authentic self. Recognizing this, my son Dylan, then 18, suggested something crazy, that I train with him in powerlifting. And then… in 2017 we competed together and I received first place in U.P.A. Power-Lifting Competition.
More importantly, I rediscovered my authentic self and found my passion for lifting weights and helping other women on their own journey of discovery through fitness.
I believe in living your strongest life beautifully and helping others do the same.
I believe in loving the journey you are on and exploring life, taking in the moment, growing from every opportunity we have each day to grow in strength and connection and love.
